I installed earlier today on ubuntu 9.10 32bit using the most recent deb package. Also, I'm running the lastest ati proprietary drivers. When I run lxdream my console gives the following error messages:
lxdream: could not connect to socket lxdream: No such file or directory 21:56:25 00000000 WARN Could not initialize LIRC. LIRC hotkeys will be disabled. 21:56:25 00000000 WARN Failed to load plugin: '/usr/lib/lxdream/input_lirc.so': Initialization failed /usr/bin/lxdream: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/lxdream: undefined symbol: glClampColorARB
Additionally, I can see a gui window attempt to open, and then very quickly close.

It installed perfectly from source. Looks like the deb just needs a tweak.
Thanks
